Islam and Women

Islam and Women

Some people are oblivious of the importance and value Islam places consequent to women. Women, who do not know this realism as well as people with incomplete knowledge of Quran, try to protect their rights by working with their perspective which follows the philosophy of atheism.

Islam has always respected women and supported them. Prophet Muhammad said “The best of you are those who are the best (in treatment) to their wives.” There are many examples from the life of Prophet Muhammad life, how he used to treat his wives. The Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessings be upon him) gave us a astonishing example of how to treat women in his Sunnah, but so many men follow the Sunnah and forget that a major component of it is the prophets (PBUH) treatment of his wives, this is a gesture for all those people who are married or inshallah when they get married to remember the Sunnah of the prophet (PBUH) and the value and blessing of a wife.

Equal Human Rights:

Fourteen centuries ago, Islam made women equally culpable to Allah in eulogize and worshiping Him – setting no limits on her moral progress. Since men and women both came from the same aspect, they are equal in their society and in earning of accolade for their good deeds. Islam establishes the basis of civil rights among both genders. In the Quran, in the first verse of the chapter designate “Women”, Allah says:

“O mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person (Adam), and from him (Adam) He created his wife and from them both He created many men and women; and fear Allah through whom you demand (your mutual rights), and (do not cut the relations of) the wombs (kinship). Surely, Allah is Ever an All-Watcher over you.” (Quran 4:1)

Men and Women Are Equal:

No doubt, every society knows the entire classical brawl about women's ideal role and place. Women’s social status and importance in the family, whether or not they should work, and other social issues have been discussed ostensibly forever. Allah treats men and women as divine equals. Quran 3:195 tells us:

Their Lord responded to them: "I never fail to reward any worker among you for any work you do, be you MALE OR FEMALE, YOU ARE EQUAL TO ONE ANOTHER........."

Many of the Muslim countries who claim to follow Islam are treating women as a joke, and some of these women accepted this situation thinking that is what Islam is encouraging.

I believe that women are given all of their rights in Islam. Islam provides admiring laws to protect women and treat them in the best ways. A Muslim woman is independent to choose the way she wants to live her life. Muslim women do not need to action for their rights because of religious abuse, as their rights have been approved fourteen hundred years ago.
